We are planning to take 5 water samples once per month starting in May and running through September. Thesesamples will measure the amount of algae (Chlorophyll-a) and nutrients (Total Phosphorus) in the water. The analysis will again be performed by RMB Environmental Labs out of Detroit Lakes, MN. The spring rains are here. The holding pond has geese floating on the water. They are enjoying the open water.Let’s hope spring will stay with us this year. The warm weather has opened up the inlets into the lake.

Water clarity this spring was quite good, but not as clear as last spring. 10 feet in 2019 compared to 14.5 feet in 2018. As the summer progressed the water gradually became less clear as you can see in the chart.
