Jenna suggested we make the membership cards “post card size” to make for easier filing. Board talked about doing some form of incentive for people who pay their dues early in the year. Tabled this idea for the time being.
Jenna proposed we purchase Quick Books Program for doing the Associations bookkeeping. Board approved Jenna buying this for the Association.
Newsletter: Spring 09 – articles will be due to Rick by March 30, with publication being planned for mid April.

Our readings are within the norms for other similar type lakes in our region of the state. He did note higher readings in June near the inlet. We will need more time and tests to see if this is a problem area. There was discussion about what this means with the water coming from Stella. PLM did an https://www.yolascafe.com/z996ap3bdo Aquatic Vegetation Assessment in August of 2008. They had 881 points of data. There were 14 native plant species and 2 exotic (Milfoil and Curly Leaf Pond). They will do a follow-up survey this spring, matching the sites from August. This will provide valuable information, to compare how the lake looks 8-10 months later.
PLM suggests:
- Lake Washington consider full lake treatment (250 acres) and begin discussion with DNR on doing this.
- We get permit applications in as soon as we can.
- The ideal time to treat milfoil is June 15-30.
follow site Also, PLM is available and very able to provide treatments for homeowners on Lake Washington. The cost is $4/foot, with minimum charge of $300 per owner. Average cost should be $350-375. This includes the $35 permit and all the paperwork. If owners along the same lake shore get together the cost may be somewhat less. Patrick reminded us, property owners can only treat a limited amount of shoreline.
